Hazel Reed West, 90, of Burlington, NC, died on Wednesday, April 25, 2012.
A native of Haywood Co., Mrs. West was the daughter of the late Furman L. and Lydia Teems Reed. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William Lester West, who died in 1980; sister, Helen R. Sohrweid; and brother, Harold Reed.
Mrs. West is survived by her sons, Larry West, of Madison, NC, and Jerry West, of Burlington, NC; and sisters, Hilda Watts, of Canton, NC, and Annette R. Weemering, of Corona, CA.
A graveside service for Mrs. West will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at Ridgeway Baptist Church with the Rev. Ron Brown officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Enka Baptist Church, P.O. Box 219, Enka, NC 28728.
Groce Funeral Home on Patton Ave. is assisting the family.

Jerry, Larry and family, I have such fond memories of your mother, at the Enka Lake Club, cooking out with my family in the back yard. Her beautiful smile where ever we met. May God comfort you during this time of loss. Her memories will always keep her close.
