Harvey Ronald Cooper, 66, of 295 Fairfax Avenue, Asheville, died Wednesday, June 2, 2004, in a Myrtle Beach, SC hospital. Mr. Cooper was born in Lexington, NC and was a US Navy veteran. He worked for Shaw Industries for 26 years and was retired from Lowe�s. He was a member of Francis Asbury United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife, Rita Sondra Bush Cooper; one daughter, Lisa Humphrey and her husband Mike of Lexington; two grandchildren, Matthew and Cody Humphrey; two sisters, Brenda Hodge and her husband Jimmy and Linda Beaver and her husband George, all of Lexington; and one brother Jimmy Cooper and his wife Jennie of Virginia Beach, VA. Funeral services will be at 3:30 p.m. Sunday at Frances Asbury United Methodist Church with the Rev. Fred Carpenter officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. His family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service and request that in lieu of flowers memorials be made to Francis Asbury United Methodist Church, PO Box 67, Candler, NC 28715. At other times his family will be at the residence.

    Have not seen you for years and just found this obituary. I am so very sorry for your loss. I have thought of you often.
    Not sure you will remember me, I was the cafe manager at Burlington. Tommy and I played cards with you and Harvey on many occasions.
