My condolences and prayers for peace to the family.
Shane , Marvin and I are so thankful that we got to spend a little time with you , your dad and mother this past Sunday . We are thinking of you and your entire family during this difficult time and we pray for comfort in the coming days .
You was the first grandson, and I the first granddaughter. You were from December, 23 to January 13 older than me. We played as children: when your family visited our grandparents. We went our different ways, and through the years the only time we saw each other was at family funerals. I am thankful I got to visit you on this past Sunday. I am sure you are having a wonderful reunion with your Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, your Mother, my Mother, and the many others of our family that are in Heaven. Prayers for your family; that the ‘God of all comfort’ will comfort them.
Rest in peace, my friend. May all of your drives be long, irons true and nothing but one putts.
I knew Gene and Nancy Meadows when they were members of South Buncombe Baptist Church and Fletcher First Baptist. I will always have good memories of Brother Gene.
Am so sorry for your loss. My thoughts are with you.
I know Gene and Nancy as neighbors. When I first moved into the neighborhood, I remember Gene outside in the summer mowing the lawn happily riding along on his lawnmower wearing a straw hat. He carried a watering can going about watering Nancy’s beautiful flowers. I watched him along with Jack Shorter, his neighbor and dear friend, mow their lawns together…often stopping to chat and help one another on other projects. Gene had a wonderful smile and a kind heart. May we find comfort during this time that ‘on flights of Angels he was taken to his rest.’ My prayers to Nancy and family.
I spoke to Gene 2 weeks ago at the Cancer Center. I was there with my wife Carolyn, who also has cancer.
I have known gene along time, his dad Harold and Betty his sister.
We all will miss gene and our prayers are with the Family

Nancy, my condolence to you, Shane, and Nicholas in the passing of your beloved husband. You and I worked so many years together and shared so many things together, even the raising of our kids! Gene is at peace now and resting, because God’s word tells us ‘to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord’. I love you all! Joy and Peace, Dot.

I have just learned of the passing of Gene Meadows. He was a great friend of my daddy, George Fowler. Daddy spoke of him often with great fondness. They enjoyed studying the Bible together. They are at home with Jesus now no more sickness or pain. May God bless you during the coming days.
