Gregory Scott Rowland, known to his friends as “Cone”, passed away on August 24, 2023, at the age of 64 in Asheville, North Carolina. He was born on September 16, 1959, in Gastonia, North Carolina. Greg was a loving father, brother, and friend who cherished his family and friends dearly.

Greg had a deep appreciation for nature and found solace in the mountains throughout his life. Camping, hiking, fishing, and spending quality time with loved ones were some of the activities that brought him immense joy. His adventurous spirit and love for the outdoors will always be remembered.

Survived by his brother, Harold Andrew Rowland Jr “Andy,” and his wife Pamela Williams Rowland, Greg also leaves behind his beloved children, Holly Anne Rowland and her mother Jill Bollinger, Thomas Andrew Rowland, Nicholas Kie Rowland and their mother Tammi Sronce. He was also cherished by his nephews, Shawn Rowland and Scott Rowland, along with their families.

Gregory was preceded in death by his father, Harold Andrew Rowland Sr., and his mother, Irene Joyner Rowland. Their memories will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved them.

Greg attended Hunter Huss High School, where he laid the foundation for his future endeavors.

In addition to his many roles in life, Greg also served in the US Army.

Gregory Scott Rowland will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His memory will forever be cherished, and his legacy will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to have crossed paths with him
