Glenda June Harmon, 75, of Arden, passed away Tuesday, April 2, 2019.

A native of Henderson County, she was a daughter of the late Cleatus Stanhope and Elsie Gosnell Bagwell. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James L. Harmon Sr.; two sisters, Marguerite Garren and Edith Ward and one brother, William Patrick Bagwell.

Glenda is survived by one daughter, Cathy Worley (Kenny); one son, Jamie Harmon; four grandchildren, Cory James Harmon (Tiffany), Kyle Lee Harmon, Savannah Faith Worley and Lucas William Worley; five great-grandchildren, Kayleigh Faye Harmon, Caia June Harmon, Gracie Mae Harmon, Bristol McKinley Harmon and Adalyn Rose Harmon; sister-in-law, Clorena Nix Bagwell; nieces and nephews, Kay Gillis, Nancy Heatherly, Ricky Lee Ward, Judy Annette Shepherd and William Terry Bagwell and many other extended family and friends.

She was a member of Fletcher First Baptist Church.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 13 in the Chapel of Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian. The family will receive friends at the funeral home immediately following the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family graciously asks that memorial donations be made in Glenda’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (www.stjude.org).
