Gerald Allen Brendle

Gerald “Jerry” Allen Brendle, 79, passed away on Thursday, February 12, 2026.

A native of Murphy, NC, Gerald was a son of the late Samuel Allen and Hazel Allen Brendle. He was also preceded in death by his step-daughter, Kathy Bailey Conard.

Mr. Brendle proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. He later retired from Diamond Brand Outdoors, where he worked for many years.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Robertson Brendle; step-son, Gerald Bailey; grandson, Casey Conard; and granddaughter, Alison Bailey.

The memorial service for Mr. Brendle, with U.S. Naval honors, will be held at noon on Friday, March 6, at Starnes Cove Baptist Church. Pastor William Moore will officiate.
