Geneva Ingle Woody

Geneva Ingle Woody, 93, of Sugar Creek Road, Leicester, died Sunday, March 9, 2014, at Aston Park Health Care Center. A lifelong resident of Buncombe Co., Mrs. Woody was a daughter of the late Loy and Sallie Sams Ingle. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Ulysses Woody; sisters, Edith Ard, and Paulene Ingle; brothers, Riley and Howard Ingle; and great-grandson, Alex Jarosz. Mrs. Woody was a member of Jones Valley Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughter, Susie Caldwell (Ted); her son, Neal Woody (Peggy); grandchildren, Jeff Caldwell (Ashley), David Woody (Gina), and Jason Woody (Brandi); great-grandchildren, Davey Woody, Judson Woody, Jaycee Woody, and Bradleigh Robinson; sisters-in-law, Ilar Prockiw, of Pennsylvania, and Mildred Ingle. A funeral service for Mrs. Woody will be at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday at Jones Valley Baptist Church with the Revs. Tom Dorsey and Ricky Townsend officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Michael Woody, Gary Edmonds, Jeff Caldwell, David Woody, Jason Woody, and Davey Woody. Her family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Ave. and at other times will be at the home of Ted and Susie Caldwell, 32 Fanci Lady Dr., Leicester. The family would like to thank all of the staff at Aston Park Health Care Center for their good service. They also give their love and special thanks to George, Rosemary, Misty and Carol.
