Weaverville ~ In the early hours on May 2, 2007 Eula Roach went home to heaven to be with her Lord. Eula was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was born November 21, 1926 to Dove and Bertha Boone. Her life was blessed with many wonderful sisters and brothers. Eula was a member of Cumberland Avenue Baptist Church where she worked with the Children’s Ministry. She was always busy baking cakes for her church, family, friends and relatives. Eula’s husband Eugene Roach Sr. preceded her in death on February 14, 2007. She was also preceded in death by several sisters and brothers. Eula is survived by a daughter Rebecca Ballard and her husband Gary, a son Eugene Roach Jr., a granddaughter Tracy Polasky and her husband Scott, three grandsons Brian Ballard, John Roach and his wife Stacie, and Adam Roach, one great grandson Logan Polasky, one brother Paul Carver and two very special children Ryan and Carie Kennedy. Eula loved and adored her family. Her hands were always busy doing for them and many other loved ones. Eulas sweet tender smile and gentle face will be remembered for many years. She was a quiet lady full of grace and goodness. Her acts of love and kindness will continue to live through the many lives she touched daily. Your work here has been completed perfectly. Rest in peace precious lady. Until we meet again we will continue loving you everyday. Private funeral services will be held Friday in the chapel of Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian on Long Shoals Road with Rev. Earl Jones officiating. Burial will be in Ashelawn Gardens of Memory. The body will lie in state from 1:00 – 5:00 PM on Thursday and on Friday prior to the service at the funeral home.

Am so sorry for your loss of your mom and it being so close to the time of your dad’s passing.She was so beauitful inside and out.I will miss her.They are together again where there is no more sickness.I can remember her taking care of children in the neighborhood. I met Eula at church and she had the sweetest smile.Iused to attend your mom’s church there at clumberland and we all had a wonderful fellowship.She also said I had agood singing voice and the last thing she told me before we never seen each other was–she told me she loved me.I shall miss her and ad we are gonna get to see her again someday.May God give you and family comfort and peace at this time and in the years to come.
