  10. Gene, I’ve known you for more than 20 years and have never seen you without that smile on your face. You are a good friend, beautiful person, and wonderful husband and father. One of my favorite memories is when we took the kids camping and it came a downpour. Sharon and I stood on the table and held up the tarp to keep it from collapsing, as barrels of rain poured down our backsides. The tents flooded and the kids deserted us… and not once did you lose that smile. You are and forever will be sorely missed. Sharon, I Love You!

  11. I lost the love of my life yesterday after 30 years together, he adored me, I was his Doll and he treated me that way every day. It is going to be so hard to carry on without him. I will have the love and support of our loving families and friends, who loved him as much as he loved them. We made so many plans for the future together. I love you honey, I will see you again some day! Love your one and only Doll!

  12. Sharon, I am so sorry for you loss. I’ll always remember when we went to Ohio together for a CMHC training. The whole trip you told me about Gene and how he was the best husband in the world and all of the wonderful things he did for you to show you his love. I was so impressed and in awe. After the trip, I felt like I had known Gene for years. Take care of yourself and know you are in my heart and prayers. Love you.

  13. I remember the first time I ever met Gene was Thanksgiving dinner 1982. Sherry and Gene drove with the kids all night to make it to dinner in NY. I absolutely loved his Southern Accent! He was happy and nervous at the same time meeting all these Northerners. As I watched him fill his plate for dinner he on had a mound of Mashed Potato’s and Corn. I remember asking him if that was all he was going to eat and and he said ‘and Pecan Pie if you’ve got it’. I grew to love him from that moment. He was instant family! I never had a real brother, but he became my brother the day Sherry and Gene got married. I never have needed anyone else and NO ONE will ever replace him. I will join you again one day in a Game of Poker and Singing Karaoke. Love you Gene and will ALWAYS Miss You! Things will never be the same without you. Hol

We will miss you GENE-O we loved you.

  15. Oh, how the Lord blessed me for knowing you for the last 40 year by being the best brother-in-law anyone could ever have. (you were more like a brother) I have spent more time with you than I have with my real brothers. i will never forget the happy go lucky attitude you always had. The jokes, family gatherings, the singing you were a pro. The times we went fishing to relax and enjoy each others company I will miss so much. i trust that the Lord has you now and someday we will see you again.
