Emogene Dicie Griffin, 81, of Snow Hill Church Rd., Candler, died Thursday, September 19, 2013, at St. Joseph's Hospital.
A native of Buncombe Co., she was a daughter of the late Otis and Christine Robinson Harding. She was also preceded in death by a son, Gary Frizsell.
Mrs. Griffin retired from B.A.S.F. Research. She was a member of Pole Creek Baptist Church.
She is survived by grandchildren Maegan Frizsell, Jesse Frizsell, Jadee Frizsell, Jason Gribben, and Katie Craig; great-grandchildren Zoe Craig and Natalie Gribben; sister Pat Canipe; brother Donald Harding; and special niece Jackie Ownbey.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday in the Snow Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery, with the Rev. David Peeler officiating. Her family will receive friends at her residence following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Buncombe County Humane Society, 14 Forever Friend Lane, Asheville, NC 28806.
