Emily Ann Weber, 62, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 13, 2018, with her daughters and husband holding her hand.
A native of Mansfield, OH, she was a resident of Swannanoa for the last 10 years. She was the wife of Dennis Richard Weber, and the daughter of the late Frank and Emily
Neal. She was also preceded in death by her father-in- law, Richard Weber.
Emily was a graduate of Madison High School and Ashland University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business.
A lover of animals and gardening, Emily was the rock of the family, always showing unconditional love. A devoted “Sitti” (grandma), mother, and wife, she often reminded
her family “don’t sweat the small stuff—family and happiness is what’s important.”
In addition to her husband, she is survived by 2 daughters, Claudia Elaine Townsend (Steven) and Monica Elizabeth Weber; her grandchildren Aydin Ali Weber, Aliese Ann
Minard, August Sol Townsend, and Orion James Townsend; brothers Zachary Neal (Katrina) and Matthew Neal (Marlene); mother-in- law Norma Weber; sister-in- law Sinda
Miller (Dan); brother-in- law Craig Weber (Cindy); and many nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at 5:30 PM in Graham Chapel in Gaither Hall at Montreat, with Rob Schermerhorn officiating, after which the family will receive friends in the fellowship hall.
Interment will be in Mansfield, OH City Cemetery.
Even in death, Emily thinks of others. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to MANNA Food Bank, 627 Swannanoa River Road, Asheville, NC 28805.
Groce Funeral Home on Tunnel Road is serving the family.
Emily was a great lady. She will be missed by all. Rest in Peace.

I am saddened to hear of Emily’s passing. She was a good friend and coworker. Emily will be greatly missed. My prayer for the family is that God will comfort your heart, uplift your spirit and carry you through this time of sadness to a place of peace.

My heart is heavy with sadness to hear of the passing of such a sweet and kind person. I worked with Emily in BCS and always enjoyed our conversations. She was always patient, kind, and so, so sweet. Always forgiving when I made a mistake and told me not to lose sleep over such mistakes. She will be missed.
Emily will be greatly missed by everyone at Buncombe County Schools Finance department. She was a great friend and coworker. Your family will be in my prayers.
My wife and I knew Emily for the last couple years. Wonderful, decent person. So sorry to hear about her passing. She was so very nice, so sad. We will pray for her family that the Holy Spirit will provide comfort and hope for all.
My heart goes out to Emily’s family. I was very sorry to learn of her passing. I will greatly miss her sweet smile and kind words. She always called us ‘cousins’ even though we weren’t related. I will truly miss her. Heaven has gained a very fine lady
