One of my (at least one if not more of my siblings) teachers – 4th grade, my homeroom to be exact. Truly, a favorite of mine. RIP Ms. Frady, may you fly with the angels evermore.
Mrs. Frady was my 4th grade teacher at Oakley Elementary School. She was a kind caring teacher and was my favorite.
Family
Our thoughts and prayers. She was a dear sweet lady.
I thoroughly enjoyed Mrs. Frady as my 4th grade teacher at Oakley. As many others she was my introduction into the Little House on the Prairie series! Prayers for the family.
Mrs Frady was my favorite teacher ever. I loved her like no other teacher I ever had. She was a great friend to my family and I. She will forever be appreciated, loved and missed.
Mrs. Frady was my teacher for fourth and seventh grade at Oakley. She took my chow for her father’s farm when I was seventh and we couldn’t keep her. She kept me posted about Smokey ever so often over the years when I would see her. She taught my daughter in seventh grade too. She was firm but fair – and I just loved her. She will be missed by so very many. Rest in Peace.
Most sincere condolences are extended to Elfreta’s family on behalf of the MacBrair Family Association. She helped to save family history. May she rest in peace.
Mrs. Frady was my teacher in the fourth grade at Oakley Elementary. I saw her many times as an adult and she always remembered my name and was so kind. My best regards to her family in their time of sorrow.
I got to know Elfreta when i took care of Worth at Greentree. How they loved each other! Now they are together again in the Lord’s house. Prayers for comfort and peace to the family. They were wonderful people. God bless.
I loved Worth and Elfreta Frady. Such a wonderful, caring couple and wonderful teachers. I am sure they both molded many young lives. I enjoyed every minute I spent in their presence through the years. I heard many students at Reynolds comment about Mrs. Frady being one of their favorite elementary teachers. Hope the nieces and nephews know how much the Frady’s meant to so many people and how much they were loved.
Mrs .Frady was one of my favorite teachers at Oakley. She always remembered me when I saw her out. She was a wonderful lady and will be missed
Greatest Generation no doubt. I have been fortunate to have known Elfreta and Worth for over fifty years and neighbors for many of those years. Mom and Dad (Francis and Blaine Huntley) were also educators and were very close to Elfreta and Worth, living just up the road in Sugar Hollow in Fairview. They were always playing jokes on each other and had lots of fun aggravating each other over the years. Such special memories. They all left their mark on the students they taught and the people who were fortunate enough to have known them. We will not see their kind again. They threw away the pattern. Eternal peace, Elfreta. You and Worth are united now forever.
Although I didn’t have Mrs. Frady as my teacher (I had Mrs. Redmond) , I remember her as a kind woman. My thoughts are with the family.
We met the Fradys at Fairview Baptist Church, after moving into the community in the 60’s. They were very wonderful people. When they found someone in the community that needed some help, they were there. Mr. Frady was also a Sunday School teacher for many years. Elfreta and my mother were very close friends. She will be missed by those who loved her but she is now happy in the presence of Jesus.
Was so sorry to hear about Elfreta. She was such a lady , so very kind. She will be missed but I know she is so happy to be with Worth again. Thoughts and prayers are with you.
She was my fourth grade teacher at Oakley! Such a great teacher and a kind heart! So sorry for your loss.
Mrs. Frady was my 4th grade teacher at Oakley. She was absolutely the best! I’m so sorry for your loss, prayers for the family during this time.
Like many, many people who grew up in Oakley, Mrs. Frady was also my fourth grade teacher at Oakley Elementary. To this day, she’s still my favorite teacher I’ve ever had. I always told people that. I’ll never forget her reading Laura Ingalls Wilder books to us and when we won the best door decoration at Christmas. She was such an incredible lady. She touched so many lives.
We were sorry to learn of Alfreta’s passing. We loved Mr. & Mrs. Frady very much; shared many dinners with them. We hosted a birthday dinner for them and several of their friends from school several years ago. Mr. Frady taught me Science at Erwin High. They both were so caring about others and were Christian people. They walked the walk and talked the talk. We enjoyed Mr. Frady’s sense of humor with his jokes. Mrs. Frady was a beautiful woman inside and out. I believe she is happy because she has joined her husband in Heaven.
