Dorothy Hopkins Dixon

Dorothy Hopkins Dixon (Dottie), of 85 Sardis Road, Asheville, passed away February 14th, 2024 at her home.

Mrs. Dixon was a native of Asheville, born February 23, 1930 to the late William and Dorothy Hopkins. She graduated from St. Genevieve-of-the-Pines Academy and Asheville-Biltmore College.

She retired from Bell South in 1981 after 30 years of service. She was a member of the Eastern Star.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Charles Wesley Dixon, Jr. Surviving is her son, Charles Wesley Dixon II (Chuck) and his wife, Becki; her daughter, Laura Dixon-Conley and her husband, Randy; and two sisters, Katherine Warren and Diane Hall and her husband, Don.

Her family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. on Wednesday, February 21 at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue.

Private family entombment will take place in the Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum.
