donna riddle
Donna Ruth Randolph Riddle, 52, of Asheville, died on Sunday, May 16, 2010. A native of Chattanooga, TN, Donna was the daughter of Mary Grace and Bob Randolph. Donna had a passion for trucks all of her life, and she had worked in the trucking industry for 32 years. She was known as the legendary "Grannymozes" to truckers around the world. For the past eight years, she was the owner of Grannymozes, Inc., a bulk dump truck company. She loved seeing the world and telling her story along the way. She was a member of Large Care Mag, and also a member of Dispatch Me Home. She would attend truck shows around the world where she would hand out awards for Best Show Trucks. Donna also had a passion for poetry, and loved writing poems and stories. Her words were like a soft spoken melody. She would read her poetry at local venues so that people would hear her angel-like words. She dedicated the last eight years to the love of her life, her grandson Kaleb, who brought her more joy than all of the above. In addition to her parents, Donna is survived by her husband, Powell Eugene "Gene" Riddle; daughter, Morgan Kyndall Riddle, of Asheville; brothers, Michael and Richard Randolph, both of Cleveland, TN; grandmother, Beulah Rayburn, of Rossville, GA; and grandson, Kaleb Eugene Riddle. 2 Corinthians 5:6-9 There we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord: (For we walk by faith, not by sight:)We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. 1. We can’t begin to tell you how much your losing Donna means to us. At times like this words just aren’t enough to express what one is feeling. We wish we could be there for you. We pray that God will give you the peace and comfort that only He can give at a time like this. We love you very much.

  2. The Wise Woman’s Stone
A wise woman who was traveling in the mountains found a precious stone in a stream. The next day she met another traveler who was hungry, and the wise woman opened her bag to share her food. The hungry traveler saw the precious stone in the wise woman’s bag, admired it, and asked the wise woman to give it to him. The wise woman did so without hesitation.

The traveler left, rejoicing in his good fortune. He knew the jewel was worth enough to give him security for the rest of his life.

But a few days later he came back, searching for the wise woman. When he found her, he returned the stone and said, ‘I have been thinking. I know how valuable this stone is, but I give it back to you in the hope that you can give me something much more precious. If you can, give me what you have within you that enabled you to give me the stone.

  34. To Grace and The Rayburn Family,
Our heart is deeply sadden by Donna’s loss.
When we pray,we can rest assured that God will answer in his time,in his way, within his perfect will. It has been said,’Nothing lies beyond the reach of prayer, except that which lies outside the will of God.’
This confidence enables us to keep praying in faith, even when days are dark and no answer is in sight. For the Lord is good;his mercy is everlasting’ (Psalm 100:5a)
    The OwensFamily(Linda,Leroy,Mike,Gay and Jeff)
