Dianne Buck Weaver died peacefully at CarePartners Solace Center in Asheville early on December 26, 2022 after a courageous battle with cancer. Her sister and brother were at her side.
Dianne was born in Lima, Ohio on July 19, 1944, the first of four children of the late Dorothy and Dudley Buck. She was a graduate of Fairmont High School in Fairmont, West Virginia and attended Ohio University, graduating 1966 from the business college. After college, she moved to New York City and began her career first in banking and then with the fashion industry.
Dianne lived in Tryon, North Carolina for six years and there was able to fulfill her life-long dream of owning horses and riding daily. She was an active member of the Tryon Hounds Hunt Club.
In 1981, Dianne married Zebulon Weaver III, M.D., and made her home in Asheville, North Carolina. Dianne was an active member of the Biltmore Forest Country Club and was on the Board of the French Broad River Garden Club and served as a senior warden of Trinity Episcopal Church.
Dianne is survived by her sister, Kathleen (Marty) Aiello of Westerville, Ohio, and her brother, Marshall (Cathy) Buck of Boardman, Ohio. She is also survived by her step-son, Zebulon Weaver IV, and his children, Zebulon V and Routh, of Charlotte, North Carolina; nephews and niece, Brian, Justin and Adam Aiello; Ryan, Kevin and Sean Buck; Allison Lombardi and Brian Presley. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Zebulon Weaver III and her sister, Marriett Long.
A celebration of life service is scheduled for 11:00 a.m., January 4, 2023 at Trinity Episcopal Church, officiated by the Reverend Dr. R. Scott White. The family will receive friends in Tuton Hall following the service. A private family interment will be at the Weaver Family Plot in Weaverville. Close friends are welcome to attend.
Dianne was greatly loved by her family and friends. Her stories and adventures were always the highlight at family gatherings. She will be greatly missed.

Dianne was a wonderful lady. Toni and I were lucky to have known and Zeb for many years, and to have enjoyed each other’s company during that time. She was gracious, and treated everyone with genuine warmth. We will miss her.
