Fairview- Deborah “Debbie” Davis Landers, 68, passed away unexpectedly at her home, August 18, 2021. Born in Transylvania County, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Cleone Davis. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Becky Rice.
Debbie graduated from Hendersonville High School and East Carolina University. She lived most of her adult life in the Asheville area although she had recently relocated to her happy place on the lake in Florida. She retired from Tryon Distributing-Asheville, after 21 years of service. Debbie was known and respected throughout her career for her hard work, energetic personality, and loyalty. Customers became lifelong friends. Generous and compassionate, Debbie was always the first to lend a hand to someone in need. Her welcome mat was always out. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Debbie’s pride and joy was her family. She loved to read on her porch, watch the birds from her bedroom, and was a dedicated fan of Duke University Men’s Basketball. Her zest for life was unequaled. Chuck and Debbie traveled extensively, they enjoyed some of the finest wines in the world and embraced each moment together. Debbie always made time for what was important to her. She cherished every minute with her grandchildren, they were the light of her life.
She is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Chuck Landers; son Chase Landers (Alexa); daughters Alison Landers (Phil) and Jordan Ford; five grandchildren; three sisters, Marilynn Davis, Nancy Kirkpatrick, and Carol Davis as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A Celebration of Debbie’s Life will be held on Saturday, September 18th, 2021 at Cloud 9 Farm, 137 Bob Barnwell Rd., Fletcher, NC 28732. We welcome anyone who loved her to drop in between 1-4 pm. A celebratory toast will be held in honor of Debbie’s life at 3 pm.

Debbie was a wonderful person and I was blessed to have had the chance to work with her and get to know her!
Love you Debbie and love you Chuck!
Sweet, sweet friend. I worked with Debbie for 15 years. She was dedicated, dependable, smart and driven.
I was stunned to see this. She and Chuck lunched with us and visited at our house about a year ago, and we had planned many more visits in the future. Thoughts and prayer for Chuck and the family.
I love you and you love me. You’re so cute. I’m so saddened.
See you in the future, I guarantee it.
LOVE YOU FOREVER.

Debbie is a dear, life-long friend whom I first met in college at ECU. We both served on the Cheerleader squad at ECU. Some of the adventures we shared are legendary, and the memories will last through the ages. I most remember Debbie’s glowing smile and vibrant personality. It was with her throughout her days. Debbie lives on in the hearts of her family & friends.
My condolences to Chuck and Ali and family. Please know your in my prayers and if you need anything please let me or Krista know.

Love and prayers
We miss her too
I knew Debbie and the whole Davis family growing up on Chadwick, spending time at the house on Balsam, and of course at Hendersonville High. I remember her smile, her cheerful nature, and her wonderful personality. I send my deepest sympathy on your loss.
Debbie was always smiling and a great encouragement to Amber most recently!
I remember how she and I took Amber and Alli all over the place, shopping and cheerleading many years ago!
As you well know, she will be missed by many on this earth!
We will be in Oregon during her memorial but our thoughts and prayers will be with Chuck, Allison, Chase and all the family, especially the grands!
