Dale Eugene Penley, 51, passed away Friday, February 17, 2017, at his home.
A native of Asheville he was a son of the late John O'Donald Penley, and was also preceded in death by a sister, Mary Jane Penley. He had worked with the Town of Weaverville for the Street Department and also primarily with the Parks and Recreation Department.
He attended many churches, to whichever he felt led to by the Lord.
His family include his wife, W. Gail Penley; daughters, Tiffany Dalton, Kristen Willis and Maranda Penley; grandchildren, Noah, Miguel and Adysen; his mother, Novella Penley, and ten brothers and sisters.
Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with the Revs. Perry Burke, Sam King and Dean Metcalf officiating.
The family will receive friends at the cemetery one hour prior to the service.

Dale was a joy to work with. He was very outgoing and made my time at Town of Weaverville great! I will always remember working at the lake with him and David, and watching how hard he worked to please everyone else. May God bless you all with comfort that only comes from Him.
We were so saddened to hear of Dales passing. But thankful that we will see him again in heaven where there will be no dying. We pray that God’s comfort and Grace will be with you all now and the days ahead. We are praying for the whole family and love you all very much.
