Daisy Worley Luther, 96, joined her husband, H.D. (Bud) Luther in their heavenly home with Jesus on Monday, February 7, 2022.

Mrs. Luther was one of 12 children of the late Singo and Minnie Jones Worley. She was also preceded in death by all her siblings.

She is survived by her children, Caroleen Sams (Charles), Janice Gasperson (Randall), Terry Luther (Alice), Keita Bradford (Jerry), Joey Luther (Kathy) and Kevin Luther (Patsy). Mrs. Luther’s thirteen grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren were blessed to have known and enjoyed time with her. She was loved by all dearly. Although touched by dementia, one of the last thoughts she shared was “I wish I could tell you all, of the love that is in my heart.”

Graveside services will be private. The final resting place will be at the cemetery of Newfound Baptist Church where Mrs. Luther was a member. Pastor Mark Ball will be officiating, by the request of Mrs. Luther.

Mrs. Luther’s favorite charity was St. Jude. You may donate in her memory by using stjude.org/donate or to the charity of your choice.

  7. I have such great memories of Daisy when she worked at the deli at Ingles and then at the bowling alley. I have thought about her several times through the years and always wondered what she was doing. She was undoubtedly the sweetest, kindest, most loving and caring friend. May you rest in peace precious Daisy. The world has lost a flower!! My thoughts and prayers are with her family.
