“Chase” Matthew Everett Simpson, age 39, of Asheville, NC, formerly of Lawrenceville, GA, crossed over to his Lord and Savior on Monday, January 15, 2024.

Chase is survived by his beloved and devoted parents; mother & step-father, LeAnn Everett Brand and husband, Charles “Chuck” Brand, of Lawrenceville; father and step-mother, William Matthew Simpson and wife Sienite Min Simpson, of Johns Creek, GA; daughter, Caroline McKenna Simpson, of Asheville; maternal grandmother, Elaine Ambrose, of Norcross, GA; maternal grandfather, John David Everett and wife Deborah Everett, of Conowingo, MD; paternal grandmother, Joan Bonnor Simpson, of Covington, GA; brother, Chad Robison Brand and daughter Violet Rose, of Pasadena, MD; sister, Anna Brand Macias and husband Brandon and daughter Celine Gloria, of Brookhaven, GA; siblings, Anna Maria Simpson, Connor Simpson, and Sarah Simpson, all of Johns Creek; other relatives and a host of many friends.

Chase was preceded in death by a sister, Denise Hope Brand and paternal grandfather, William Darrell Simpson.

Chase was born on March 5, 1984, at the former North Fulton Hospital in Roswell. He was a high school graduate and served in the United States Marine Corps from 2006 until 2010 and was stationed in San Diego, CA. Chase worked in the office for L.P. Pilgrimage Services as well with Expedite Travel Consultant. Chase enjoyed collecting comic books, was an avid Georgia Bulldog fan and supported Atlanta United. He will always be remembered for being there when anyone was in crisis and supporting his Marine brothers. He was a wonderful son, grandson, brother, and devoted friend. He will be deeply missed by those who loved him dearly.

A Funeral Mass to celebrate and honor the life of Chase Simpson will be held on Thursday, January 25, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 319 Grayson Hwy., Lawrenceville, GA 30096 (770-963-8992) with Rev. Father Henry Atem serving as the Celebrant. A livestream of the service may be viewed by following this link. Interment will follow at Arlington Memorial Park Cemetery in Sandy Springs, GA. The family will receive friends on Monday, January 22, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 23, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Wednesday, January, 24, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. each day at the funeral home.

Flowers are accepted, but the family has requested “no cut lilies in any arrangements.” Those desiring may make donations to Veterans Hope and Recovery Center, Asheville, NC 28805.

Chase, you saved my life when we first met I was so broken and lost in life last year wevstarted talking then life happened and didn’t talk for months but we found each other sgain you showed me that i could be loved and could lovr again you krep me sober i didnt want to get high when i was with you we laied in bed for 3days watching movies that was so special just to lay in bed watch movies talk laugh and be held by you ill always have you in my heart i miss you so much already
