So sorry to hear of Dr. Williams’ passing. He performed a tonsilectomy on me when I was 33; and then saw mw again for a salivary gland infection. He was a wonderful doctor whom I trusted implicitly. Dr. Williams was such a kind and compassionate man. I brought my 2 year old son to him on a Friday afternoon many years ago to remove a foreign object from his nose. Dr. Williams had to take care of both of us that day and he became a wonderful resource for us over the years.
I am very sorry to learn of Emery’s death. I very much enjoyed talking with him many times in the lobby of the Asheville Racquet Club as we both were always early for our matches. We talked kids and tennis….he was very proud of his family. I will miss Emery.

We are so sorry to hear of Dr. Williams’ passing. He performed ear surgery 2 times on my husband for an accident which burned his eardrum before Desert Storm. He then had to do the same surgery, which was done at the V.A. Medical Center after Desert Storm because of damage to the ear from several loud explosions. He also had done surgery on our two boys. I believe at one time or another the whole family had been a patient of his. God bless you family!
With deepest sympathy. You and the family are in our thoughts and prayers. Love Jerry and Jo

My heart goes out to the Williams Family. You were so good to my father as I was growing up. I still remember the huge trampoline my brother and I used to jump on. Dad was always treated like family. You were always there for him. I will keep you in my prayers. May God keep you and comfort you in the days to come. Dr. Williams was a good man. I thank God for him putting you in my Dad’s life.
My condolences to the Williams family. Dr. Williams was a great contributor to our community and especially to the physician community of WNC. I was honored to serve as Executive Director of the Buncombe County Medical Society during the years he served on its Board and as its President. I know firsthand of his heartfelt commitment to his patients and to the wellbeing of all patients. He was a cheerful inspiration and he will be sorely missed.

I first met Emery at band camp at Northwestern State, in 1956. Later at LSU Med School.
He was an accomplished baritone player and a brillant medical student.
I will not forget Emery, and will pray for your peace and comfort, now, and in the years to come. We will see him again, one day.
Fondly,
Charlie Mc
We have just learned of the passing of your husband and father. I first met Dr. Williams when he started practice with Dr. Pate. Through out the years , my family and I received outstanding care. He was an excellent surgeon and provided a high level of medical care to all his patients. His smile and sense of humor put the most nervous patient at ease. My family want you to know how very sorry we are for your loss.
