Brittany Lea Jones Hipp, 28, of Candler, passed away Sunday, May 14, 2023.
Brittany was born February 13, 1995 in Jacksonville, NC. She was a graduate of Pisgah High School, and received an Associates Degree from Haywood Community College. Brittany was an employee of Clyde Elementary School since 2016, and she was very devoted to the students and staff. She served the community as a firefighter from 2011-2016 with the North Canton VFD. She also formerly worked at Camp Daniel Boone.
Brittany is survived by her husband, Shawn Hipp; parents, Eric Lee Jones and Renee Bailey Jones; brother, Brandon Jones; grandmother, Jackie Bailey; and parents-in-law, Derrick and Kim Hipp.
Funeral services will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 18 at Clyde First Baptist Church, with Mr. Byron Burnette officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, beginning at 4:00 p.m.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Candler.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the EC Program at Clyde Elementary School, 4182 Old Clyde Rd., Clyde, NC 28721.

Brittany brought joy. Her sarcastic humor made many of my afternoons!! She was an amazing woman and a fun spirit to be around. She is loved and will continue to be missed. My prayers are with you.

I worked with Brittany for a few years at Clyde Elementary and loved her sweet smile and she was always happy. I would see her here and there and always enjoyed our visits!!
I didn’t know Brittany for very long but I could see she was loved! My prayers will continue for her parents Eric Jones and his wife Candice, her mother Renee Jones, her brother Brandon Jones and to for her husband Shawn Hipp. May she bask in the love of our Heavenly Father and may he give peace to her family and friends. I know she will be deeply missed and look forward to seeing her once again in our Fathers Heaven.
