Bonnie Davis Coffey

Bonnie Davis Coffey, 97, of Candler, died on Friday, December 21, 2012, at the St. Joseph Campus of Mission Hospitals.
A native of Buncombe Co., Mrs. Coffey was a daughter of the late Frank and Agnes Byrd Davis. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Carl Coffey, son-in-law, Hoyt Montgomery, and granddaughter, Donna Montgomery.
Mrs. Coffey had been a longtime member of Davis Chapel Methodist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Montgomery, of Candler; sons, Bill Coffey and wife Jeanne, of Asheville, and Don Coffey and wife Wanda, of Candler; grandchildren, Wayne and Suzanne Montgomery, Sherry Cook, Diana Roland, Darrell Coffey, Donda N.L. Bennett, and Kenley C. Coffey; and great-grandchildren, Matt Bartlett, Josh Roland, Alisha Coffey, Neely A. Bennett, Addison S. Bennett, and Savannah G. Coffey.
A funeral service for Mrs. Coffey will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday at the Groce Funeral Home chapel on Patton Ave. with the Rev. Dennis Thurman officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Serving as pallbearers will be Wayne Montgomery, Darrell Coffey, Kenley C. Coffey, Matt Bartlett, Josh Roland, and Bruce Cook.
Her family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Her family wishes to thank the staff of Pisgah Manor Health Care Center, and in particular, Stephanie, for the care and compassion shown to Mrs. Coffey.
My thoughts and prayers are with each of you in your loss. Mrs. Coffey was a dear lady who will be missed.
My thoughts and prayers go out to Bonnie’s family. I enjoyed seeing her and reading her poems. She will be missed, but is in a much better place now. She loved talking about the Lord and her family!

So sorry to hear about the loss of Bonnie. She was a wonderful woman. I have many fond memories of her. Her beautiful smile and loving heart. My prayers got out to all of you. May the Lord hold you close at this sad time and bring you peace.

Oh Guys, I am so upset about Bonnie’s passing. I am sorry Don, Bill and Barbara I know that was your Momma. It,s gonna be hard for a while. if you trust and have faith in God, he’ll lighten the mourning. please let me know if there Is a way I can help. I wish I could come for the funeral but, it might be wierd. I understand that. Please know that I love everbody and miss you immensely. I am sorry about Bonnie too.
