Bobby Monroe Shipman

Mr Shipman was born in Asheville and was a son of the late Edward Monroe and Christine Wilson Shipman. He was an Army veteran and was a member of the Moose Lodge.

He is survived by his former wife, Louise Shipman; a daughter, Donna Klingler and her husband, Bobby of Asheville; a son Russell Shipman and his fiance, Shannon Banks, of Asheville; two sisters, Gwen Marshbanks of Asheville and Peggy Souther of Fletcher; a brother, Charles Shipman of Asheville; four grandchildren and two nieces.

Graveside services will be at 11:00 am Monday at Green Hills Cemetery with the Reverend Todd Reynolds officiating.

His family will receive friends 7-8:30 pm Sunday at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Aveune.
