Billy Waldrop, 59, of 7 Karen Place, Asheville, died Monday, December 18, 2000, in an Asheville
hospital.
A native of Buncombe County, he was a son of the late Robert Waldrop and Martha Sherlin Waldrop
Monteith. He worked as a diesel mechanic with Perry Alexander Construction Company and was a
member of State Street Baptist Church.
He is survived by a daughter, Kelly Howard; two sons, Mark and Darren Waldrop; a sister, Hiawatha Reemes; a brother Tony Waldrop all of Asheville; and eight grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday in the Patton Avenue Chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Reverend Charles Sams officiating.
His family will receive friends 7-8:30 Wednesday at the funeral home.
Private burial will follow at a later date.
