Dear Family,
I had several opportunities to work with Bill in Buncombe Baptist life–and what a committed Christian he was! Some of the times I will treasure were the drives we took to Winston-Salem for meetings of Conservative Carolina Baptists. As we traveled the road we had rich fellowship. He’ll be missed.
Praying for You.
There are never the right words to express the sadness we feel for such a loss.

Mr. Horton and I became friends through our work. I will always remember him as a man of character who always had a smiling face. He will be greatly missed.
Lottie and Harold were so sorry to hear of Bill’s passing. We know that he is in a better place now and that all of his suffering has ceased.
He has been Harold’s golfing buddy ever since Harold came to Asheville in 1996. In the past few years we have both had to opt for some of the shorter, less difficult courses in the area. On our last visit to the Holiday Inn course we both were exhausted after 9 holes and had to stop for the day.
He will be missed by all who knew him.
Lottie and I want to extend our heartfelt condolences to Jo and his children and grandchildren. We are sorry we won’t be able to attend the services as we will be in Charleston for the weekend and with family in Myrtle Beach on Monday and Tuesday.
