Rev. Phillips and family,
I was greatly saddened to learn of Mrs. Phillips’ passing. Please know that you are all in my deepest and most sincere prayers.
Kristi and Robin- Having lost my mother in April, I know what you’re going through. Knowing that the end is near for her doesn’t make her loss any easier. You are both in my prayers. While you miss her terribly, I hope you can take comfort in knowing that she is in such a wonderful place. Please try to remember that she is singing and dancing in the presence of Christ. We will all see our mom’s again. While we cry for our loss, we rejoice in the knowledge that God’s love will bring us together again.
Preacher Phillips and Family:
Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this time of loss of a loved one on this earth, and rejoicing of another Child of God arriving at her eternal home in heaven!
We have many great memories of Mrs. Phillips, you, your family and our time as members at Newfound Baptist Church.
My prayer will be that God be glorified through Mrs. Phillip’s life here on earth, death and eternal life she is experiencing today.
In Christ,
Daryl, Cynthia and Abby Sampson
We are thinking about you.
I am so sorry for your loss. My heart goes out to each of you. Even though we all know where Bertie is it and she is much better off it still hurts to see our loved ones go. We feel we need them and never get prepared for them to go. I was unable to attend the the funeral. I had a commitment and I feel so bad that I didn’t get to come. I wanted you all to know you are in my thoughts and prayers and I love you. Girls I understand the pain of losing a parent. Charles I know it will be very hard for you in the days ahead and lonely. I do know all of you have precious memories that will always be with you. If I can do anything please let me know. God bless and comfort each of you.
Dear Preacher Phillips, Kristi & Robin, & family
I was deeply saddened to hear of your loss. Bertie was not only a smiling and welcoming face in my youth during church, but throughout my later years as a college student at UNCA. Going back in my late twenties with a bunch of young faces–it was nice to see Bertie every day in the Psychology office reminding me I could make it through this phase of my life. I know she is smiling down from Heaven on all the love your family has received from the community.
GOD BLESS each of you with his comfort and love.

Uncle Charles, Robin, & Kristi,
You have shown to us a very good example of loving a Christian family and what it means to have a strong faith in Jesus Christ. Thank you for that. I cannot imagine this world without Aunt Bertie. I think of all the Christmases we gathered as a family at Grandpa & Grandmas. I always loved to see her come through come the door and just light up the place with her smiles and laughs and
also the big hugs! I cherish those many memories of her as she will always have a special place in our hearts as will you all. Our love and prayers are with you all.
Your nephew and cousin,
Chuck, Kim, Cliff & Brice Bolin
We’re praying for you, want want you to know we are here for you to help in any way we can.
Love, The Frazers
Family, Please know that during this time of sorrow on earth, rejoicing is taking place in the presence of our Lord and Savior. Scripture reminds us that precious in the eyes of the Lord is the death of His saints.
May the grace of God keep you as you greive, remember, and rejoice over the life of your wife and mother.
Brother Charles, as you lay to earthly rest, that which is the greater part of yourself, know that joy cometh in the morning when the Lord returns for His own. At that time you will see your beautiful Bertie as never before, altogether perfect.
Robin, & Kristie, the tears that now wet your face will in time bring healing to your hearts as you begin to remember, not simply the sorrow of this moment, but rather, the joy that is your mother. As each of you continue to live for Jesus, raising your children as she raised you, you will continue to bestow honor upon her.
Until that time, when together with all the saints, we meet Christ Jesus, may the Grace of God sustain you.
Charles, Robin and Johnny, Kristi and Chad,
You are in our thoughts and prayers during this time. Bertie was certainly a very special lady as you all know. Your wonderful memories and precious times you have shared with her will always be with you to cherish.

Dear Pastor Phillips and family,
You are in our thoughts and prayers at this time. We wish we could have been at the services this evening, but were unable to attend. I know it must have been a very moving experience to say the least; You, pastor, are the only one who could have done justice to your beloved wife in officiating her services.
May God bless you all during your time of grieving and know that we are here for you. We are blessed to have you in our lives at Macedonia, and we wish we could have known Mrs. Phillips during happier and healthier times. We’re blessed to have known her. Please lean on us, your church family (and us personally), any time at all. We love you and will keep you lifted up in our prayers.
