Bertha Mae McMahan White, 68, passed away on Monday, March 10, 2025.

A native of Buncombe Co., NC, Bertha was a daughter of the late James and Pearl McMahan. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Roger Dale White, Sr.; sister, Ann Davis; and brother, Tommy McMahan.

Mrs. White is survived by her son, Roger White, Jr. (Chelsea); grandsons, James and Daniel White; sisters, Carolyn, Deborah, and Johnnie; and brothers, Tracy, and Lon.

Her family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 13, at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Ave. The graveside service will follow at 11:30 a.m. at Ashelawn Gardens of Memory.

    • So sorry for your loss, Bertha was always such a sweet pleasant lady. I knew her and Roger years ago. Also I worked with her sister Ann. My condolences to your entire family, and pray for peace for you all.
