Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Bill, Ashley, Billy and everyone who loved Baxter. I was very saddened when I logged on from my new home in Oregon to read the ‘local’ obituaries. I remember Baxter as ‘a mountain of a man, a true gentleman, larger than life, a man with a presence that filled the room whenever he entered into it.’ I know that you will all miss him very much, and I will miss just knowing that he is ‘out there somewhere.’ We have lost a good man. Rejoice in his many accomplishments and the memories he gave us all. I lost my Mother in February and my Father the day after Christmas this year. I know your pain and I will keep all of you in my thoughts. Love, Hoot

  2. DEAR FAMILY,
MAY GOD BLESS YOU WITH HIS SPECIAL PEACE AND LOVE IN YOUR TIME OF LOSS AND HELP YOU TO BE ABLE TO REJOICE FOR BAXTER. HE IS NO LONGER SUFFERING, AT PEACE AND IN A MUCH BETTER PLACE. IF I CAN HELP,PLEASE DON’T HESITATE TO CALL.

  3. Linda,

  6. I only knew Baxter Taylor through occasional contact when his son attended Christ School. In this case, I must turn around the old saying ‘Like father, like son’ to ‘Like son, like father.’ Having obseved Billy for more than 40 years, I’m sure his Dad was like him: often generous to a fault but uneasy at praise; a man who was a good storyteller and enjoyed laughter, even at his own expense; perhaps as unpredictable (some say erratic) on the football field as his son Billy, who quarterbacked against his father’s team. So many people will miss him, even those who never had the chance personally to know him well.

  7. Baxter’s accomplishments and generosity will live on in the hearts of all of us who knew him from the Asheville School community.

  8. Dear Linda it was a pleasure taking care of Baxter, my prayers are with you i know how much you loved him.
Just keep busy at school and God will see you through. Just stand strong you know what i am talking about, Do what Baxer would have wanted you to do.

  13. We are physically unable to be there today but we are there in spirit.
We wanted all of you to know how much we loved him and will miss him.
If we can do anything, please let us know.

  14. To the family and friends of Baxtor Taylor, my prayers and thoughts are that God will give you the strength you need to adjust to the loss of your loved one. Only God himself knows why he wanted to take him to a better place free of sorrow and heart ache. I have lost a husband and father so I know the depth of the loss of your loved one. My son Clifford worked a number of years for Mr.Taylor and he always said good things of him. I can always remember him as a friend. May God bless each of you with the richest of His blessings. Love of a friend.

  15. Katherine, I am so sorry to hear of your dads passing. I was just thinking of you two last week and wondering how he was. I had not heard anything since I am still on leave from BB&T with my foot and knee. You know I thought ALOT of your daddy, He was a great man. I always loved for him to come throught the drive thru at the bank he was one of my very favorites. I did not learn of his passing until today, I was reading the paper and saw Bob Terrell article on him and it just broke my heart. He was a great man. I think as much of you as I did him, Katherine you are a very special person too. I enjoyed you coming through the drive thru too and those Xmas presents you brought me last year. I still have the xmas cactus. The candy was gone in a short time. Please contact me and let me know how you are. my Home number is 683-7033 or cell 712-6116. And again I am so sorry for your loss but I know he is in a better place looking down on us and keeping heaven happy with his humor. Take care and God Bless You Kathy
