Barbara Jean (Pessini) Messier, 78, of Asheville, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on November 9, 2022, with her family at her bedside.
Barbara was born in Marlborough, Massachusetts, on April 12, 1944, the second daughter of the late Francis and Adrienne (Pichette) Pessini of Southborough, Massachusetts. Barbara was predeceased by her sister Adrienne Ball and is survived by her husband Bob Messier; sister Maryjayne (John Carey); daughters Maryanne (John Tyborski) and Nicole (Trevor Olson); and niece Frances Oyama.
Barbara attended St Mary’s School in Marlborough and Marian High School in Framingham, Massachusetts, where she graduated in 1962.
Funeral and interment services will be private and held at a later date.
Groce Funeral Home’s Lake Julian team is assisting the family.

My thoughts and prayers are with you all. I am a 1st cousin of Barbara. Our last meeting was at Aunt Angie’s 100 birthday party.
