Arnetta Henson Grant

Mrs. Grant was born in Buncombe County and was a daughter of the late Tom T. and Callie Morgan Henson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ben Grant and by a daughter, Brenda Jones. She was a member of New Morgan Hill Baptist Church.
She is survived by three daughters, Tina Sherlin, Becky Ducker, and Connie Grant all of Asheville; three sons, Tommy Grant of Asheville and Mike Grant and Tim Grant of Candler; two sisters, Edith Letterman of Asheville and Kate Watson of Candler; three brothers, Lewis “Pete” Henson of Marion, Buster Henson of Candler, and Herbert Henson of Florida; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a special friend, Ethel Letterman.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 am Tuesday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert E. Harris officiating. Burial will be at New Morgan Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
Her family will receive friends from 7 - 9 pm Monday at the funeral home.
