Anthony Yaksta, 88, of 101 Lions Way, Black Mountain, died Thursday, October 17, 2002, at the VA Medical Center. Mr. Yaksta was born in Shenandoah, PA, was a son of the late Joseph and Catherine Yaksta, and was married to Sophia T. Yaksta who died in 1988. He was an Army veteran of WW II and was a retired carpenter and machinist. He is survived by his daughter, Marie Smaridge of Black Mountain and a special granddaughter, Amanda. Graveside services will be 11:00 am Monday at St. Patrick's King Street Cemetery in Enfield, Connecticut under the direction of Carmon Funeral Home, Windsor, CT.
