Ann Davis Dunn Wischer of Pompano Beach, Florida and formerly of Skyland, N.C., passed away Tuesday, June 30, 2015. Ann was born on February 17, 1933 to wonderful and loving parents, Thomas Alfred Davis and Bernice Maynor Davis. She was the granddaughter of Rena Ingle and James Mathias Maynor and Bertha Styles Davis Ingle and Fred T. Davis. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William A. Wischer, a son Thomas Randall Dunn and a grandson, Matthew Hawkins. Ann graduated from Valley Springs High School and worked as a medical office manager and transcriptionist in Florida for many years. Prior to moving to Florida, she worked as a paralegal in Hendersonville. Survivors include a daughter, Teresa Dunn Nix; a step-daughter, Cathy Ryckman; four grandchildren, Dawn Freeman Wiley (John), Holly Nix Davis, Chase Dunn and Jordan Dunn; step-grandsons, Eric Rykman and Brian Ryckman; great-grandchildren, Alex Smith, Alison Wiley, Mikayla and Tabitha Davis; a sister, Ruby Davis Hernandez and two step-great grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at New Salem Cemetery, Skyland, N.C. on July 11, 2015 at 3:00 pm with Reverend Gayle Brown officiating. Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian is assisting the family.
