Wanda Mae Clubb, 87, of Asheville, died on Friday, August 26, 2011, at the WNC Baptist Home. A native of Madison Co., she was a daughter of the late Harrison and Elizabeth McIntosh Hensley. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Albert Clubb, who died in 2002; daughters, Barbara Waldrup, and Diane Clubb; sons, Larry Stephen Clubb, Howard Dale "Buddy" Clubb, Sr.; and eight siblings. Mrs. Clubb was a member of Cedar Hill Missionary Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Bryson and husband Mike, of Alexander, 11 grandchildren, and a number of great-grandchildren. A funeral service for Mrs. Clubb will be on Monday at 11:00 a.m. in the Groce Funeral Home chapel on Patton Ave. with the Rev. Roy McPeters officiating. Interment will follow at the Brick Church Cemetery, in Leicester. Her family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home. Her family wishes to express their appreciation to the staff of the WNC Baptist Home for the care and compassion they showed for Mrs. Clubb.

    Sorry to read about the passing of your lovely Mother, I remember Wanda so well when we all went to New Hope Baptist Church. She always had the most plesant smile on her face and always a kind word.
