Kathryn Bomberger Johnson

Kathryn Bomberger Johnson, 94, of Asheville, died Saturday, August 20, 2011, at her residence. A native of Lancaster, PA, she was a daughter of the late Paul and Ida Simmons Bomberger. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Thomas George Johnson, a sister, Grace Lorah, and a brother, Daniel Bomberger. Mrs. Johnson was an Elder with Kenilworth Presbyterian Church, where she taught Sunday School until recently. She was a former President of the Kenilworth Garden Club. She is survived by a son, Dr. Thomas George Johnson, Jr. and wife Margaret; grandchildren Sean Johnson, Scott Johnson, Lauren Johnson, Anna B. O'Connell, Wesley Ballew, and Matthew Ballew; great-grandchildren Eleanor Ballew and Ethan O'Connell; and by cousins Dr. Daniel Bomberger and wife Gail and Harvey Bomberger.
