Sue Taylor Davis, 93, of 84 Davis Chapel Road, Candler, died Sunday, February 10, 2002.
Mrs. Davis was born in Buncombe County and was a
daughter of the late David Zachary and Connie Smith Taylor. She was also preceded in death by a
grandson, Kenneth Davis, by two sisters, Opal Morgan and Burnette Taylor and four brothers, Dennis, Earnest, Golden, and Gwyn Taylor.
She was a former employee of American Enka and she was a member of Browns View United
Methodist Church.
She is survived by three daughters, Betty Davis and Linda Thompson of Candler and Connie Davis of Asheville; three sons, Larry Davis of Penrose and Neil Davis and Paul Davis of Candler; one sister, Lillian Massie of Candler; one brother, Honess Taylor of Hendersonville; sixteen
grandchildren and twenty-two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Wednesday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Revs. Austin Watts and Steve Plemmons officiating.
Burial will be at Browns View United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Her family will receive friends from 7 - 8:30 pm Tuesday at the funeral home and at other times
will be at the home of Neil Davis on Pisgah Highway.
