WILLIAM PLEMMONS
ASHEVILLE – William Plemmons, 83, of Cedar Knoll Rd., died Tuesday, May 24, 2011, at St. Joseph's Campus, Mission Hospitals.
A native of Buncombe Co., he was a son of the late Theodore David and Mary Louise Jackson Plemmons. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Mary Josephine Davis.
Mr. Plemmons was retired from J.M.J. Produce. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army.
He is survived by daughters Gail Shook of Asheville, Mary West of Leicester, and Rebecca Phillips of Hendersonville; son William Plemmons of Unicoi, TN; 9 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jimmy Page officiating. Interment will follow at Pisgah Methodist Church Cemetery.
His family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
You will be missed papaw and I love you.

Gail,and family I was so saddened to hear of uncle Dicks passing.I knew he was in the hospital and I called and talked to him for a few minutes. He remembered me and told me he loved me and I told him the same. But you know he is with your mama and all his family now and what rejoicing they must be having.
