Naomi Ruth Beasley Clubb, 74, of Governors View Road, passed away Saturday, May 14, in the John F. Keever Solace Center. She was a native of the Meadow Fork Community in Madison County, but was a resident of Buncombe County for 50 years. She was the daughter of the late Verge and Minela Beasley. In addition, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford A. Clubb and two sisters, Cumi McClendon and Imogene Queen. She was employed by Roses Department Stores for 20 years and later retired from Wal-Mart after 14 years of service in the East Asheville location. She was a member of Keenersville Christian Church and attended Beverly Hills Baptist Church in Asheville, where she was a member of the Friendship Sunday school class. She is survived by a daughter, Patty Clubb of Asheville; granddaughter, Emma Whitney, and a sister, Gayle Stockton of Alexander. A funeral service will be at 12:45 p.m., Wednesday, at Beverly Hills Baptist Church, with Rev. Dr. William D. King officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow in the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Black Mountain. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to J.F. Keever Hospice Solace Center, 68 Sweeten Creek Road, Asheville, NC, 28803, or to Beverly Hills Baptist Church, 777 Tunnel Road, Asheville, NC 28805. Groce Funeral Home, East Asheville, is in charge of the arrangements.

  6. Rick worked for years with Ms. Naomi I got to work a short time with her, she was much loved and respected, a VERY hard worker, may God be with each one of you, for Ms Naomi she will be greatly missed here but heaven is rejoicing over a great saints home coming.

  9. Naomi and I worked together on 3rd shift at Wal-mart for years. She worked circles around everyone else. Patty, she always talked about you with such love and pride like only a Mother would! She and I became very close and there will always be a special place in my heart for her. My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult time.

  10. My mom and I both worked with Naomi for several years and loved her dearly. She was always such a sweetheart and such a hard worker. She had so many friends who loved her and were blessed to know her. Rest in Peace, Naomi. We love you!

  11. Naomi was a beautiful woman. My children remember how kind she was and said she reminded them of their own grandmother, (my mother)
    I knew her for years through Walmart. She will be terribly missed. May she rest in peace and may God bring comfort to her family during this difficult time. Our only hope is to see her again in heaven. God Bless.

  12. Naomi was a wondeful person. she had the ability to make you laugh when you wanted to cry. always there with a hug. she made going to work enjoyable. i know God will hold this precious angel in his arms.
