Aunt Becky, when Tommy called and told me that Sherry had passed I was dumbfounded. There are no words that can be said to make the pain and the loneliness go away. Only time will help ease the hurt but it never goes away completely. I wish I could tell you it does. Please take comfort in knowing that this was God’s plan for Sherry and he was ready for her to come home. I do know that Sherry, Mommy and Aunt Gladys are in Heaven smiling down on us and they are happy and without anymore worries. I also know that Mommy and Aunt Gladys will take good care of Sherry for you until you see her again.
With love and sympathy

I grieve for you all but I know that God can provide the grace and comfort that you will need over time to understand why. Greg, Sara and Tyler…we are lifting you up in prayer. I can’t think of anyone who was more involved in our community than Sherry. I keep seeing her at an Enka band concert…sitting on the left side of the auditorium…cheering on every student as they performed. She dedicated thousands of hours to volunteer work, especially at Enka High school. But she also worked hard behind the scenes in many other organizations. Sherry made a difference in the lives of so many people, which is evident from the outpouring of love from all of her friends.
Dear Glance Family-
We still can’t believe it and our hearts are so saddened with this sudden passing. God has a great plan for Sherry and she will be a most cheerful and kind addition to his kingdom. There are no words that fully express the hurt that your family is going through but God has a way of healing with time. Although it may seem like forever, this too shall pass. Just know that you have lots of friends and family that love you all so much and are willing to lend a helping hand at any time. God blessed you with such a wonderful mother, wife & best friend. We love you all very much and will be lifting your family up in prayers. God Bless…

Dearest Family,
I was in Brians class . I remember
Sherry as a vivacious cheerleader that was friendly to us all and had such a sweet demeanor. I am sure she will be missed and I am sad to say I was too much of an underclassman to get to know her.
Love to you all , in your time of grief
