Asheville Butterfly TrailMrs. Wilson Was born in Buncombe County and was a daughter of the late Archie and Allie Hall Cole and she was married to Olson M. Wilson who died in 1992. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Nannie Clark and four brothers, Ray, George, Laney and Joe Cole. She was a member of Newfound Baptist Church.
Surviving are four children and their spouses, Edwin C. and Peggy Wilson of Asheville, Charles R. and Virginia Wilson of Asheville, Van M. and Maribeth Wilson of Candler, and Cloria Ann and Paul Stroupe of Murphy; one sister, Annetta Price of Leicester; one brother, Herman Cole of Leicester; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Tuesday at Newfound Baptist Church with the Revs. Mark Ball and Charles Phillips officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Her family will receive friends from 7 - 8:30 pm Monday at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue and at other times will be at the home of Edwin Wilson, 1411 Kenton Lane, Biltmore Park.
Memorials may be made to the Newfound Baptist Church Building Program.
I was very sad to hear that Ms Wilson will not be here with us.I always looked forward to seeing her come in to the beauty shop she always loved for her hair to be just right. I will miss her greatly.

I was sorry to hear of your Mother’s death. She used to stay with Mother sometimes when I needed to run an errand and she always left a written record of anything I should know. That helped so much.Mother liked to talk with her about how they used to cook for happenings at Newfound. I remember her in many jobs at Newfound. Your Mother was a lot of company for Daddy after she came to Baptist Home.She was a good woman who touched many lives.

So sorry to hear about Mrs. Wilson. She was a lot of company to Daddy in his last months – if you remember she moved to the Baptist Home shortly before he died. I remember her and your Daddy from very early childhood. She was my Sunday school teacher before I even started to school. I know you will find comfort in all your memories. My thoughts are with you.
