John Flavian Moody
February 17, 1933 ~ May 20, 2001

A native of Aiken, SC, Mr. Moody was a son of the late Linton L. Moody and Lillian Deas Moody and the husband of Donna Sue Stephens.
Mr. Moody was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and retired as a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service after thirty years for service. He was also a member of Fairview Sharon United Methodist Church.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Moody is survived by eight children, Beverly Moody, Matthew Moody, Patrice Moseley, Philip Moody, Mark Moody, Shelia Moody, Stephen Moody and Kenneth Moody; two sisters, Martha Harris of N. Augusta, SC and Avice Ashley of Skokie, IL; fifteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be conducted on Saturday, May 26 at 4:00 p.m. in the chapel of Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian on Long Shoals Road.

Uncle John was a great man with an infectious laugh and slightly bazaar sense of humor; that would explain the rest of our family!!! In loving memory of Uncle John my prayers go out to my Aunt Sue and to all my cousins. May he always live within each of us in our own special way.
