Fletcher– Ronnie N. Maynor, 64, died unexpectedly Sunday, February 6, 2011. A native of Buncombe County, he was son of the late Ted Cling and Ruth Ellen Osborn Maynor. He was a former employee of Ball Brothers and was excellent at repairing small engines. Ronnie was an avid outdoorsman and loved fishing and hunting. Ronnie is survived by his wife, Linda Fox Maynor, a brother, Jim Maynor of Asheville, two aunts, Joy and her husband Dick Fisher of Boise Idaho and Norma and her husband Ed Yoneda of Emmett, Idaho. Ronnie is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews. Services will be held 2:00 pm Wednesday in the chapel of Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian with the Rev. Howell Rogers officiating. The family will receive friends one hour before the service. Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian is assisting the family.

  1. I am very sorry for you lost. I will always remember Ronnie for letting his ferrt lose and it getting after me and me getting on the chair to get away from it. He was a very good fishing friend to Steve and I and I will always remember him for the fun times we all had together.

  7. I am so glade that God gave me the privilege of having Ronnie as a friend.We had some wonderful times hunting together,but better yet the laughter that Ronnie greeted people with every day was a great gift that Ronnie shared with everone. Thank you God for my friend.

  8. So sorry for the loss of your dear Ronnie. He was such a sweetheart, and I am most thankful that he was such a good friend to my Daddy, Milburn Brooks, before I lost him. Daddy thought a lot of Ronnie, and he was always there to lend him a hand. He was such a good person, and will be missed greatly by many.
