James H. Sentell

Asheville Butterfly TrailMr. Sentell was born in Greenville, SC, and was a son of the late James Hoyt and Ethel Ellington Sentell, Sr. He was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict and was retired as corporate pilot for Fluor-Daniel Construction Co.
He is survived by his dear friend, Marilyn E. Field of Candler; two daughters, Susan Sentell and Sandra Hyder, both of Landrum, SC; one son, Steve Sentell of Landrum, SC; one sister, Sally Wilmot of Edenton, GA; one brother, Richard Sentell of Easley, SC; and one grandchild.
A memorial service will be at 4:00 pm Saturday in the chapel of Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian, Arden, NC.
His family will receive friends at the funeral home immediately following the service and request that memorials be made to Mountain Area Hospice, PO Box 25338, Asheville, NC 28813.
We met Jim when he was campground manager at Mt. Pisgah. We became very fond of him and we will miss him very much. Our hearts go out to his lovely family and his wonderful Marilyn.
