I was very lucky to get to know Rosa during the time she volunteered at Trend in Hendersonville several years ago. I still remember the wisdom and advice and laughter given from two wise ladies, her and Norma. My condolences to the family.
We have been praying for Rosa. We will miss her. Thinking of you with sympathy and love.
We have truly lost one of our favorite friends and co-worker. Rosa met so much to this family over many years and will be missed.
She will now be together with Jim and her long time hairdresser, Angelo. May she rest in peace, farewell my friend.
What a great loss to this world of a wonderful, caring woman that was Rosa.
Even with her health issues she was always concerned about how everyone else was doing.
We will all greatly miss her in our lives, but she is celebrating a wonderful reunion with loved ones as she is now with her Lord and Savior.
‘Til we meet again, Rosa!
Even though Aunt Rosa was not a blood relative, she was truly my Aunt in every sense of the word. I have only great memories of her and Uncle Jim … like when she got me my first puppy, picnics at Green Lane Park and giving me my first car (Uncle Jim’s old one)! I will miss her dearly. I love you Aunt Rosa!
Since Aunt Rose and Uncle Jim spent many years living in Pennsylvania, I had an opportunity to spend alot of time with them growing up. Having no children of their own, they were parents to many. Once you met Aunt Rose you never forgot her. She was a beautiful lady with a wonderful laugh and smile. Kind, generous, thoughtful even in her final days always thinking of others. Aunt Rose led by example and inspired us all to become better people. How truly blessed we were to have her as a member of our family. I will miss all the calls and visits to NC. I will love you and miss you always.
Some of us in the Volpe family were fortunate enough to have a special closeness with Aunt Rose and Uncle Jim. My family and I were one of the lucky ones. Such wonderful memories of our visits to Summit Terrace during the holidays to see the train platform, Uncle Jim’s home movies, budgie’s tricks. Our baseball games in Grandmom’s and Grandpop’s back yard, the picnics, dinners at my house…the list can go on and on. Thank you for being such a special part of our lives. Aunt Rose, your contagious laughter will be heard no more, but it will live in our hearts forever. We love you and will miss you. Please give Uncle Jim and the others our love.
Aunt Rosie and I were not blood relatives, however I always felt her love. She was a friend, a confident, and someone who would give me a swift kick in the butt when I needed it. Aunt Rosie’s playful spirit, kindness, compassion, and love towards others made me want to be a better person. The times we have spent together whether in PA or NC were always filled with great conversations, lots of laughs, plenty to eat, oh how she loved her ice cream. I feel that I have been truly blessed to have had Aunt Rosie in my life and I will always remember her with love.
Aunt Rose, you will be missed very much. Look down on us once in a while. We will always love you.
Aunt Rose was a very special woman. She always had a smile on her face and was full of joy. It was great to just be around her. Since she and Uncle Jim moved, we didn’t see her so often, but loved to hear stories from the family of their visits or talks. I will cherish all of the memories I have of her.
Aunt Rose, you will always have a special place in my heart. I am thankful to you for saving your letters. I owe you a big hug!!!
I will always remember that sparkle of mischief in her eyes and her laugh. Steve and Norma, you have lost a wonderful sister and my heart breaks for you all. The pleasure of knowing her is worth all the pain of losing her. May God grant you peace and shower you with love and understanding. Love to all of you.
Aunt Rose was a special woman that will always be remembered. I will forever hear you call me ‘Shelly Bean’. No one else ever called me that. Such a gentle, loving woman that will leave a hole in hearts with your passing. We miss you always. I hope that you all will be celebrating in heaven together. Give my love to everyone.
Love, Shelly
