Benjamin Franklin "Frank" Boehm, 80, died Friday, November 7, 2003, in Elizabeth House. A native of San Diego, CA, Mr. Boehm was a son of the late Paul Boehm and Bessie Evans Boehm. Mr. Boehm served with the Merchant Marines during World War II. He retired as a mechanical engineer and after his retirement, Mr. Boehm volunteered with Habitat for Humanity and assisted the Forest Service with trail maintenance. He enjoyed sailing and yacht club. He was a member of Living Savior Lutheran Church. Survivors include his wife, Chloe Fenske Boehm of Hendersonville, Cynthia Wille of Oakton, VA, Kathleen Boehm of Harper Woods, MI and Ellen Anderson of Dowling, MI; a son, Dan Boehm of Seattle, WA; a brother, Dan Boehm of San Jose, CA; four grandsons and two granddaughters. A memorial service will be conducted Monday at 11:00 am in the chapel of Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian on Long Shoals Road with Pastors John Qualmann and Fred Kosanke officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the Living Savior Ministry Center where a lunch will be served.
