Flaura M. Reece

Mrs. Reece was born in Clay County and was a daughter of the late Robert and Hettie Jane Phillips Myers. She was also preceded in death by her husband, J.V. Reece who died in 1944, and by two daughters, Clarene Reece and Genevie Heatherly. She retired in 1978 from Memorial Mission Hospital as a nursing assistant and she was a member of Sand Hill Baptist Church.

Surviving are one son, Kenneth Reese and his wife Darlene Cirks Reese of Minonk, IL; six grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be at 6:00 pm Tuesday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Carter officiating.

On Wednesday she will be taken to Clay County where she will be placed in the Pine Log Baptist Church from 12:00 - 1:00 pm followed by graveside rites at 1:00 pm conducted by the Rev. Kevin Miller.

Her family will receive friends at the funeral home following the service Tuesday evening.
