Marion Lake Peterson

A native of Kansas City. Kansas, she was the daughter of the late William P. Lake and Constance Hiatt Lake and wife of the late Grant W. Peterson. Mrs. Peterson was a retired school teacher with the Osceola County School System in Kissimmee, Fla.; a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society; a published writer and editor and was a volunteer with Helpmate for several years.

She is survived by two daughters, Winnie Strahm and her husband Dean of Arden, Jeannie Miller and her husband Ron of Aurora, Colorado; one son, Donald Peterson and his wife Maggie of Jacksonville, Fla.; six grandchildren and one great-grandson.

A memorial service will be held at 6:00 pm Tuesday, December 19, 2000 in the New Hope Presbyterian Church with the Revs. Anne and David Morgan officiating.
