Tweedie Durst Devlin

Tweedie Ann Durst Devlin, 71, of 75 Wendover Road, Asheville, died Friday, December 15, 2000, in an Asheville hospital. Mrs. Devlin was born in Greenwood, SC, and was a daughter of the late James West Durst and Claudia Haselden Durst. She was married to Gus M. Devlin, who died October 6, 2000. She was a graduate of Lander College and was employed by the Asheville-Buncombe Library System from 1961 until the late 1980’s. She was a member of the Home and Garden Club, the DAR, and Oak Forest Presbyterian Church for 43 years. Surviving are her daughter Ann Foster Marriner and her husband John of Atlanta, GA; one son, James Durst Devlin of Decatur, GA; one granddaughter, Sarah McCaslan Marriner of Atlanta, and one sister, Claudia Durst Johnson of Albany, CA. A memorial service will be at 2:00 pm Sunday at Oak Forest Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Dr. James E. Aydelotte officiating. Her family will greet friends at the church immediately following the service.
