Helen Beatrice Werhan, of 28 Lancelot Lane, Asheville, died Sunday, November 19, 2000 at her
residence.
Born in Florence, SC, she was a life long resident of Asheville and was the daughter of the late Charles F. and Alice Mason Werhan. She was a
member of Merrimon Avenue Baptist Church.
Her survivors include her nieces, Norma Fortune of Mills River, Peggy Teague of Columbia, SC; nephew, Russell Kelley of Beaufort, SC; great- nieces, Gail F. Allen of Charlotte, Mary Lou Stilwell of Newton, NC and Penny Jo Fortune of Mills River; great-great niece Kim Brooks; great- great-nephew Shane Allen; great-great-great nieces, Brittany Brooks and Casey Allen; and
great-great-great-nephews Brandon Brooks and Tanner Allen all of Oakboro, NC.
Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday in the Patton Avenue Chapel of Groce Funeral Home. Rev. Dennis Stilwell will officiate with burial
following in Green Hills Cemetery.
