  1. Dear Don, Elaine and Hazel,
I share many great memories of days on Student Council at Lee Edwards under Marjorie’s always kind and wise supervision. There were always teachers you could not forget, and Marjorie was one of those for me. My sympathy to you in your loss. With kindest regards, Bill Wolcott

My thoughts and prayers are with you in this time of sorrow. I know how much your mom was loved by you. If there is anything I can do, please let me know.

  4. Don:

Was so sorry to read about your mother. She taught me how to use this keyboard! I saw her some time ago at the Fresh Market; she talked about you and your dear wife. She was so proud of you! It meant so much to her that you kept in touch with her the way you have.

I’m sitting in my office where David Millard once stood, and I just thought fondly of your dear aunt, ‘Hurricane Hazel,’ and those long ago hours in science class.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this sad time. Hope to see you Friday.

    Sincerely,
    Cyndee Grant

  7. Mrs Kunze was one of my favorite teachers in high school. And I am very sorry to read about her passing. After reading it, I got out my senior annual to read what she wrote to me. I gratuated in the Class of 1961 and can still remember her fondly. My condolences to all of her family. Sincerely, Ron Autrey

  9. Our friendship started 50 years ago at Central Methodist Church. We loved her and Hazel and their Mother all these years. We are greatful for their teaching our children.
‘Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints.’ (Psalm 116:15)
    May God give you comfort.

  10. Dear Don, Elaine and Hazel:
I was so sorry to read about the passing of Marjorie in the paper yesterday. I knew her from Lee Edwards, however, I was never in any of her classes. Since I moved back to Asheville, my Mother and I always saw Marjorie and Hazel out-and-about. My Mother just passed away in April and every time I pass by Kimberly Avenue I think that I have to call and say hello to Marjorie and Hazel. She was such and wonderful and caring person and we will all miss her deeply. My thoughts and prayers are with you since I know what you are feeling.
