Robbie M. Greene

Mrs. Greene was a native of Buncombe County and was a daughter of the late Robert Johnston and Hettie Broyles Brown McGee. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Avis Lorraine Barmore. She was a retired beautician and was a member of Starnes Cove Baptist Church.

Surviving are a daughter, Miriam Elliott of Asheville; six grandchildren, Joy Elliott, Shirlene Elliott, Ava Lynn Elliott, Belinda Suissa, Michael Elliott and Mark Kelly; four great-grandchildren, Valerie Fowler, Sabrina Norton, Adrienne Elliott, and Jason Norton; and four great-great-grandchildren, Katelyn Fowler, William Fowler, Nicholas Fowler, and Ty Norton.

Graveside services will be at 2:00 pm Wednesday at Bell United Methodist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Charles Sams officiating.

Her family will receive friends from 7 - 8:30 pm Tuesday at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue and request that in lieu of flowers memorials be made to Starnes Cove Baptist Church, 149 Starnes Cove Road, Asheville, NC 28806.
